About Our Dogs

We are not a shelter. The dogs we have in our program are in private foster homes. We accept all Golden Retrievers in need, unless there is a known aggression towards people. The dogs in our program have come to us because they are in need of a "forever family".

We expose all foster dogs to other dogs, children, cats and other people before placing them on the adoptable list. We have no "time limit" for our foster dogs and will keep them in foster care until an appropriate home can be found.

Once a Golden has entered our program, they are spayed/neutered, brought up to date on all vaccinations, receive a heartworm and fecal check, started on heartworm preventative, and also microchipped for permanent identification.

We have an application process that all potential adopters must fill out before we will discuss a particular dog. Once the process is started we will work with you and your family to help find the most appropriate dog for you. We ask that you be patient, as this can take a while. Please be understanding that we typically do not receive the "perfect golden" into our organization. These goldens typically get to keep their homes. :)

Rescue goldens are truly wonderful; but most carry with them a bit of "baggage" and most require some training from the start. They are simply in need of finding a secure, "forever home" that will love them and provide them with a lap to place to place their head.
