Surrendering Your Golden
We know that Goldens are not for everyone and for whatever reason, you are unable or unwilling to keep yours. Maybe you are moving and can't take your Golden with you. Maybe someone in your family is allergic. Maybe you just don't have the time it takes to train a very active dog. We aren't going to judge you...we just want to help your dog find a new home where he will be safe, wanted and loved.

Below is a questionnaire we ask you fill out about your dog and its health and temperament, to see if it is candidate for placement. You will be required to sign a document giving Iowa Golden Retriever Rescue, Inc sole ownership of the dog. We also ask you have up-to-date copies of all veterinary work done. We will arrange for a volunteer to come and pick up the dog as soon as possible. We also ask for a $50 donation to cover food and medical costs.
